What sparks your interest? Do you tend to tune in or focus when someone is talking about something you like? Are you able to get totally lost in a project when it really interest you?
So, if an interest can help you focus longer or tune in a speaker, think how this can also be very helpful to a child with an ASD.
I'm not saying if a child likes dinosaurs, then everything the child does has to be associated with a dinosaur. What I am saying is..... if a child is not motivated in a subject .. or not gaining skills in an area, then highly consider the importance of incorporating the child's interest.
If you haven't filled out the form on "free forms"... I guess it should say, "free form" right now.... :) .. then thfill it out.
Find out what sparks the child's interest. Your findings could be very, very important in adding a motivating factor where needed.
