Hello!
Some of you may want a template for a morning & afternoon schedule or checklist.
Please feel free to download the template. If you want to use it like a dry erase chart, then laminate it & use dry erase markers to make the "to do" list.
The individual (depending on his/her strengths) could write in their "to do" list or.... they could choose from a list of "to do" items already written or pictured. Also, making a "big" deal about the completion of the task is important.
The individual can circle (or you can circle).. a concrete (an object the individual can touch) token can be earned for this too - especially if circling a 2 dim. object isn't very exciting - or too difficult. Then.. a certain amount of tokens can purchase a special activity or special time.. (i.e., stay up 15 min. later, spend an extra 10 min. or ? playing a favorite video game, go for a walk, play a special game, etc.).
MAKE SURE THE INDIVIDUAL WANTS THE SPECIAL ACTIVITY OR SPECIAL TIME. See preference form.
Make sure the effort matches the pay-off. So, it may be better for the individual to need 3 stars circled (or different tokens) to have 30 min. on a favorite video game, etc. Also, the token could could represent a min. or 5 min. towards a really cool activity. A timer can be very, very helpful.
The goal is for the individual to recognize tasks which need to be done... vs. the teacher or parent constantly reminding the individual.
See what you think!!
